Duties & Responsibilities
Lead technical aspects of creating a new parental biosensor based upon Dictyostelium capable of mimicking B-Cell receptor pathway.
Source and obtain the required reagents and cells required.
Initiate, execute, and manage protocol creation, evolution, and documentation of experimental procedures and results.
Analyze, summarize, and present experimental results to manager and other team members.
Lead and manage project to assure major milestones are met and kept within budget

Education: Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Immunology, or related field.
Experience working with Dictyostelium as a model organism - cultivation, life cycle, and storage. Previous experience generating stable transformants is a must.
Highly proficient in molecular biology including cloning techniques, mutagenesis, and construction of genetic cassettes.
Knowledge of cell signaling and protein kinase pathways and the techniques used to monitor their function.
Demonstrated abilities to work independently and creatively to solve critical research problems.
Excellent collaboration, organizational, communication (oral and written) and multitasking skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours to meet project timelines.
Strong evidence of scientific productivity.
