Job Summary

Barings' IT team is seeking an ASP.Net/SQL Developer to join its Investment Systems group. This position will be located in the Barings' Charlotte, NC office and will report to the IT Director within the group. As a member of this team, the associate will be part of a fast paced environment that services multiple business lines around the globe. The associate will be responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting the applications and processes for these lines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Day to day support and development of internally developed applications.

  • Interact directly with business partners for requirements gathering and QA testing efforts.

  • Testing of your changes across two to three environments.

  • Work on projects with strict deadlines.

  • Adhere to, and enforce development standards across the team


  • 3+ years' of experience in ASP.NET and SQL Server development

  • Development / support of internally developed applications written in Microsoft technologies using Visual Studio and VSTS.

  • Experience working with C#, .NET, MVC, HTML5, XML, XSLT and CSS.

  • Working knowledge of a web API development with ASP.NET MVC framework.

  • Good knowledge of Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Dapper and Entity Framework.

  • Development experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or later, including TSQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

  • Development experience working in SCRUM / Agile environment

  • Experience working in environments that require strict adherence to change control policies.

  • Good time-management, organization and communication skills.

  • Experience working in a fast paced development environment.

  • Experience at another large financial institution preferred, but not required.
