The Position:

We're looking for an Asleep Overnight Direct Support Aide. You will provide support and assistance to seniors in an Assisted Living/Residential Care community during the overnight hours as needed. Individuals may require physical assistance or accommodations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety of all individuals while on shift including implementing emergency policies as needed. Primary focus of the position is to be available in the event of an emergency that may require residents to be evacuated from the building

  • Provide assistance to individuals during the overnight shift who may wake up or have needs requiring assistance.

  • Complete housekeeping/ cleaning duties as assigned.

  • Maintain additional mandated trainings and certifications as required by the community.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people in some customer service role

  • Prefer someone who has experience working with seniors

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to climb stairs.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses.

  • Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.

Position Summary The Home Health Aide is responsible for carrying out assigned duties which promote patient comfort and support. As the Home Health Aide, you will provide personal care/hygiene to the home health patient and assist patients with activities of daily living. Principal Accountabilities * Assist the patient with transfers, exercise and/or ambulation * Turn and position patients who are bed bound * Assist with Range of Motion appropriate for the patient as directed by the RN or Therapist * Assist patients with meals and nutritional support * Change bed linens and straighten patients' environment * Observe and report changes in patient conditions to the case manager * Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate to coordinate patient care, exchange information, and receive staff support and in-service education Qualifications * Effective communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include some evenings and weekends * Ability to travel to patient homes Education, Experience, and Certifications CNA license in state of work required. High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance. State-Specific Certifications Connecticut- Certified Nursing Assistant designation by the CT board of nursing. Maine - Certified Nursing Assistant designation by the ME board of nursing. Massachusetts - Certified Nursing Assistant designation by the MA board of nursing. New Hampshire – LNA certification by NH board of nursing.
