Asic/Soc CAD Engineer

MatX is on a mission to be the compute platform for AGI. We are developing vertically integrated full-stack solutions from silicon to systems including hardware and software to train and run the largest ML workloads for AGI. MatX is seeking a CAD Engineer to join our team as we create best-in-class silicon for high-performance and sustainable GenAI. Successful candidates for this role will be responsible for creating and maintaining our CAD infrastructure to produce performant and functionally accurate silicon for MatX products across compute, memory management. High-speed connectivity and other key technologies.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, Maintain and Enhance MatX's physical design flows from synthesis to gdsII

• Automate backend runs with scripts, post-process logs, rerun jobs.

• Collaborate with the silicon engineering teams to evaluate and select best-in-class EDA tools and methodologies for our chips

• Support third party EDA software tools and/or in-house scripts used by our design team.

• Work with EDA tool vendors for issues and get them to closure.

• Training flow users and resolving any issues they might face.

• Drive methodology/flow improvements

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of industry experience in Asic Physical Design CAD.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages, such as Perl, Python, and TCL

• Expertise in industry standard ASIC synthesis, place & route, timing/crosstalk closure, physical verification and sign-off EDA tools

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or equivalent.

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience with EDA license management, LSF and equivalent job schedulers and cloud-based development on AWS, Google Cloud and similar is a big plus

Compensation: The US base salary for this full-time position is $120,000 - $400,000 + equity + benefits
