ASC SENIOR STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL LOGISTICIAN (USARCENT-19-1706-W):
Bowhead seeks an ASC Senior Strategic and Operational Logistician to join our team in support of the USARCENT mission. The ASC Senior Strategic and Operational Logistician monitor theater logistics policies and maintain Combat Service Support (CSS) situational awareness through all means of information systems, battle command systems, and CSS Mission Command information systems.
Essential functions will include:
Monitoring theater logistical priorities through attendance at various COCOM daily operation updates and staff meetings.
Maintaining continuous liaison with other staff directorates, contractors, and commands within the AOR.
Coordinating and interpreting ASCC and joint logistics system requirements with logistics managers in the ASCC AOR, AMC, DLA, Material Management Center (MMC), Theater Sustainment Command (TSC), COCOM, Logistic Support Agency (LOGSA), and deploying units/installations to maximize logistics performance and leverage the joint systems' unique capabilities.
Reviewing plans to ensure they are comprehensive and are in compliance with directives and guidance from HQDA, COCOM, and the ASCC in achieving operational objectives, and provide recommendations for updates.
Participating in ASCC exercises and deployments.
Assisting with the development of operational level logistics Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), OPORDs, and associated annexes.
Participating and collaborating in joint operations planning to develop campaign plans, OPLANs, and OPORDs for the Geographic Commander.
Assisting with developing and updating Level I (Commander's Estimate) thru Level IV OPLANs.
Assisting the Plans Branch in developing staff estimates and courses of actions for OPLANs and policy that support the geographic Combatant Commander's theater strategy, campaign plans, OPLANs and OPORDs.
Assisting with developing ASCC support to OPLANs and CONPLANs.
Reviewing and providing analysis, comments, and summation of the Unified Command Plan, Contingency Planning Guidance, and Defense Planning Guidance and the Joint Service Capabilities Plan (JSCP).
Assisting in the development of communications campaign to secure ASCC objectives across a number of parallel commands.
Qualified candidates must:
Have detailed knowledge of all facets of sustainment and its integration to develop detailed concepts commensurate with presentation at the three and four star level. Additionally, contractor should be able to relate those concepts into detailed executable plans and create Time Phased Force Deployment Data to support mobilization of assets.
Possess an understanding of Army Campaign Planning and integrate strategic direction into a command message that encompasses the future design of operations into communications that enfranchises all partners in the sustainment enterprise.
Have broad knowledge of the Army sustainment enterprise at the Department of the Army and how it relates to other procuring headquarters, USTRANSCOM, and other ASCC headquarters is required to ensure strategic lines of communication are nested with current capabilities to enlist support across a wide array of sustainment organizations.
Possess a functional understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and assist in planning, logistics estimates, concepts of support, and coordination with joint service component commands and subordinate headquarters. Shall have a minimum of two years of experience with the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP). Broad thought and experience is required to understand the effects of long-range, near-term, and current operations into the build of theater posture; related to contingency plans the contractor shall provide detailed analysis to integrate those current assets that reside within theater and recommend additional forces as required.
Be proficient with the operational and strategic adaptive planning processes at the Department of the Army Major Command (MACOM) or DoD Combatant Command (COCOM) level.
Have a demonstrable capability to plan, organize, and direct the operations of teams and to work with senior level personnel.
Must have full knowledgeable of COCOM AORs logistics structure and capabilities, and shall possess a working knowledge of Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine logistics structure and capabilities in order to work as a joint element when it comes to logistical planning.
Possess the ability to develop, present, and execute logistics plans and forecast long-term resource requirements in support of the COCOM Campaign Plans and long term operational strategy.

Requirements A minimum of ten (10+) years of experience in managing the planning, programming, supervision, and execution of logistics programs, and a minimum of three years of experience in Theater Logistics and logistics mission analysis processes in support of Joint Theater Logistics level deployment, distribution, sustainment, reconstitution, and Joint Reception Staging Onward Movement (JRSO) operations is required
Must have a minimum of three years' experience working in support of a Joint, U.S. Army, or component level headquarters
Must be a Graduate of Military Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) program, and have logistics experience in deployment/combat in a support operations position; or be a Graduate of either the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or Joint Operational Planners Course. In lieu of education, a minimum of 15-20 years of relevant experience i.e. "developing staff estimates and courses of actions for OPLANs and policy that support the geographic Combatant Commander's theater strategy, campaign plans, OPLANs and OPORDs". If the candidates have experience relating to COCOM OPLAN and CONPLAN Development.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Professional Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret/SCI clearance at this location.
