Job Description
Summary/objective
Provides administrative, programmatic, and clerical support to the Academic Services Center. Assists with day-to-day management of Subject Tutors, Academic Strategies and Writing Lab programs, ASC Student Assistants, and testing accommodations. Plans and assists with events and develops strategies to market the ASC.
Essential functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Assist the Director with administration resulting from the Academic Strategies, Writing Lab, Subject Tutoring, and STAR bridge programs.
Interacts with students, tutors and faculty to help assess and maintain the quality of Randolph tutoring
Identifies, hires, and guides peer subject tutors.
Assists with the planning, delivery and administration of Randolph College in-house tutor training
Maintains online tutor scheduling software
Reconciles student timecards
Offers one-on-one logistical consultation for students as needed
Assists the Access Services Coordinator with provision of testing accommodations and related administration on an as-needed basis
Responsible for monitoring the annual budget for the ASC including the processing of invoices and reimbursement requests for department
Manages ASC's online presence including website, social media, and events
Works cooperatively with other constituencies as needed to complete assigned projects

Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively

50+ peer tutors
Work environment
Typically works in an office environment. Evening and weekend work is occasionally required.
Physical demands
May occasionally lift 10/15 lbs. or be required to walk and/or bend in the performance of job duties.
Travel required
Infrequent travel locally
Required education and experience
Associate degree
Some experience working or teaching in higher education
Preferred education and experience
Bachelor's degree
Graduate-level coursework or degree
3+ years experience working or teaching in higher education
Experience overseeing annual budget
