Provide support for the Dean, Division office staff, and others as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience
Current OCCC student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during fall or spring, 3 hours during the summer.
OR
Current OCCC student with a federal work study award.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic computer typing, filing, and telephone skills;
Positive customer service attitude;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population effectively.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
1.GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium work: This position requires the person to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force and frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
2.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, faculty, staff, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.
This position requires the person to occasionally position self to work on lab equipment, to assist faculty and staff, and to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to operate a computer and other office machinery to perform the essential functions of the position.
This position requires the person to operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists.
3.VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
4.WORKING CONDITIONS
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor lab, classroom, storage area and/or office setting.

Required Training Work Hours
Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm - with some flexibility, depending on the needs of the department and the class schedule of the student.

Assist Division Dean, Division Assistant and Division Secretary with inventory upkeep and input. Records or documents changes in inventory, pick-up print documents from OCCC Print Shop.
Light clerical duties. Other duties as assigned.

Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
