Artisan's Global Value Team is looking to add an Investment Operations Coordinator to its team. The investment team is led by portfolio manager Dan O'Keefe.

Responsibilities

The Investment Operations Coordinator's primary function is to work in tandem with the Office Manager to optimize the daily research operations of a top-tier investment franchise. Candidates must be exceedingly well-organized, flexible and possess the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate can expect to:

  • Manage fluid individual and team calendars, anticipate changes and keep the team on schedule

  • Manage and coordinate international and domestic travel arrangements, including flight, hotel and appropriate ground transportation or other reservations associated with any research meeting or client activity

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner

  • Build and maintain relationships and serve as liaison between the team and the broader firm, including IT and others

  • Serve as primary operational liaison and gatekeeper for external firm relationships

  • Manage sell-side research and relationships, including corporate access

  • Manage vendor relationships, including Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon and others

  • Research screening and file creation using research platforms (Bloomberg, Factset)

  • Manage internal technology platform for research, as well as internal database and applications

  • Cross train with Office Manager to be a suitable back-up

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3 + years' experience in Asset Management or Financial Services

  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with industry and sell-side contacts, as well as internal constituents

  • Ability to identify areas of improvement and develop solutions to help optimize team workflow

  • Excellent administrative and general office skills

  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Positive approach to work and its challenges

  • Effective problem solving skills

Responsibilities Project Management * Leads and manages multiple projects or other design and engineering initiatives * Provides guidance, technical expertise and project leadership in ensuring projects or other design and engineering initiatives are meeting or exceeding company expectations System Operation and Work Practices (including Capacity Planning) * Expert operating knowledge of engineering systems to include advanced diagnostics and repairs * Ability to apply knowledge of Equinix processes and procedures and industry standards to resolve non-routine issues * Works with vendors to identify and resolve hardware and software issues with vendors products which affect Equinix operations (i.e., works with equipment vendors to understand the impacts and consequential workarounds of an equipment setting change based on its hardware design and the site configuration of the equipment) * Evaluates and assures the safe working practices of others * Reviews and recommends work practice guidelines and policies * Interacts with other engineering, design and construction disciplines * Works with the capacity and site engineering teams to formulate long term strategies for managing power and cooling resources Training * Contributes to identifying and developing training programs * Provides cross-functional training * Acquires knowledge by expanding experience with systems, vendor training, participation in industry groups or meetings and shadowing others * Is SME with many systems and trains others inside and outside of the group Contract Administration * Contributes to developing and executing effective contract administration procedures including generation, review, and monitoring of contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents and documentation Leadership and Communications (including Vendor Mgmt.) * Mentors junior team members.
