Greenfield Community College is located in the beautiful and historic Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts, between the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and the fertile farmland of the Connecticut River watershed. GCC is a public community college serving over 4,800 people annually in credit courses and credit-free workshops. Job Description:


Presents an introduction to the languages, tools, methods, and philosophies relative to planning, designing, creating, and publishing web sites. Guides students in designing and developing their own web sites using industry-standard software.


  • Conducts classes;

  • Prepares for instruction;

  • Assesses student performance;

  • Provides student assistance by appointment; and

  • Attends a limited number of faculty meetings.



  • Master's in Fine Arts (MFA) degree

  • Portfolio of work in the field

  • College-level teaching experience

  • Conversant in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Photoshop CC and Dreamweaver CC.


  • Successful community college teaching experience

  • Commitment to the mission of the community college

  • A demonstrated commitment to promoting domestic diversity and/or global multiculturalism in the curriculum where appropriate.

DTA serves one in nine residents of the Commonwealth with direct economic assistance (cash benefits) and food assistance (SNAP benefits), as well as workforce training opportunities. This is a provisional appointment. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Full Engagement Worker (FEW). Our ideal candidate will perform job opportunity development activities including cultivating partnerships with community-based job skills, training, and education programs to increase available opportunities to ensure that clients, including work-required SNAP clients, are able to gain employment. The duties will include but are not limited to: * Facilitate client enrollment in employment related activities targeted to meet the work program requirement. * Work individually with clients to conduct assessments of past job experience and skill sets to determine employment opportunities with the local labor market. * Perform or assist in individual and/or group activities including orientations, job search workshops, Transition Plan meetings, participation in monitoring and compliance, and authorization and reauthorization of Employment Service Program (ESP) services and assessment referrals. * Maintain current employment and training resources in an eligibility system (BEACON). * Attend local workforce development meetings to ensure access to community-based and non DTA- funded services. * Refer clients to DTA-funded and community-based job skills training and education programs. * Perform Community Service site development activities to ensure that community service sites are integrated into the TAOs service delivery network. * Interview work program required clients and refer them to community service sites and reassesses the progress of those clients who have been participating in community service. * Participate in monthly Statewide FEW meetings to review best practices and strategize to develop systemic solutions to increase the work participation rate. * Assist staff by providing ongoing technical assistance and support with BEACON related ESP issues. * Assist staff with sanction mediation and intervention, which will require one-on-one interaction with clients who are not successfully engaging in appropriate activities. * Assist staff with referrals to ESP programs and support services, e.g. transportation and child care and Transitional Child Care. * Travel is required. * Perform other related duties as required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree. * Demonstrate knowledge of career and educational counseling theories. * Proven ability to problem solve and motivate clients to achieve self-sufficiency while removing and resolving barriers to employment. * Proven ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information. * Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. * Commitment to working with diverse populations. * Proficient PC skills. * Bilingual skills preferred.
