Position Summary The Hunterdon Behavioral Health Art Therapist is responsible for collaborating with the members of the unit treatment teams in the behavioral health continuum, to provide formal art therapy to the patients and consumers admitted for treatment of a behavioral health diagnosis. Primary Position Responsibilities 1.Assist with the development of program design and maintains integrity of the materials of the program # utilizing evidence based materials when appropriate 2.Provide timely and accurate written documentation of participation in groups and therapeutic interventions through charting progress recordings 3.
Available for interpretation of art work related to feelings present and being expressed or withheld 4. Minimum two years professional experience in hospital based programs, programming and process group and group therapy # License, Registry or Certification: Required:#LPC or LCSW and MAT certification from the Art therapy board to practice as an art therapist Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Effective communication skills, group facilitation skills, knowledge of creative art therapies. Requires documentation, record keeping and evaluations in collaboration with facilitators and co-facilitators.
