Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Art Therapist to join our team. The Art Therapist will work with children with special needs, using art-based interventions to promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and social skills development. Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group art therapy sessions for children with special needs
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals
• Facilitate art-based activities that encourage self-expression, creativity, and emotional exploration
• Create a safe and supportive environment where children feel empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings through art
• Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and behavior analysts

Requirements:

• Take data and monitor progress toward therapy goals, adjusting interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and client outcomes

• Certification in Art Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a clinical or educational setting
• Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic principles
• Proficiency in creating and adapting art activities to meet the diverse needs of clients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for helping children reach their full potential through art therapy
