"CATEGORICAL" ART TEACHER (50%) P.M. at GRAVES MIDDLE SCHOOL Salary paid at 50% of the Teacher's Salary Schedule. BCLAD (Spanish) Stipend up to $ 3000 per year (prorated 50%) Up to 10 years of service credit for new hires, Excellent medical, dental, & vision benefits Under the direction of an assigned administrator or designee, serve as the art teacher for students in 6th-8th grade.

The art teacher is responsible for planning and delivering VAPA aligned art lessons during instructional periods. The art teacher encourages creativity and self-expression among students. Develops and delivers art lessons that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.

CREDENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Valid California Single Subject Credential and or Mulitple Subject Teaching Credential authorizing services in Art, Preliminary or Clear.CLAD Certification or ELL Authorization required; or BCLADBachelor's Degree or above including courses to meet credential requirements

Successful teaching experience at the secondary level, desirable.Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish, desirable- Current Resume, 2-3 letters of recommendation, and credential copy (Required)- Official graduate and undergraduate transcripts due upon offer of employment.

Appointment to this position predicated upon passing a post offer physical and submitting a negative TB result. In addition, the selected candidate must complete the state fingerprinting requirements and the district must receive a Certificate of Clearance by the California Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Within three days of employment, all new employees shall show appropriate documents, which certify that they are legally eligible to work in the United States. The Immigration Reform and Control Act require the district to obtain documentation from every individual who is employed which verifies identity and authorizes his/her right to work in the United States. Selected candidates will not begin work until a fingerprint clearance has been received from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
