As a Marketing Art Outsource Manager, you will work with external vendors to oversee the creation and production of marketing creative assets. This role will maintain ownership of the development process and relationship between Zynga and the external vendors and serve as an enthusiastic and passionate conduit through which great marketing creative is produced on time and to spec.

Able to juggle production tracking for many assets at once, you're organized and meticulous. You are easily able to handle scheduling and hold external studios to the guidelines set out for them. You are able to maintain scope within allotted budgets.

Communication is something that comes naturally for you. You're able to translate complex ideas into actionable specs and requirements. You pro-actively seek to strengthen communication channels between internal and external teams. You are able to take the drive the process of ensuring the correct feedback from the Art Director is delivered in a timely matter.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent written and visual communication skills The Outsource manager is in charge of ensuring smooth delivery of the feedback notes from the Art Director and other key stakeholders to the External Studio on a timely manner. Ensure that the expected guidelines and specs are provided with visual and written support.

  • Ability to track 1000's of assets and the status of each.

  • Deep understanding of static and video marketing creative pipelines with the ability to effectively communicate timelines and specs back and forth

  • Remove any roadblocks as soon as they appear

  • Team-player RFPs may contain animatics, storyboards, and technical information from other disciplines, necessitating that the Outsource manager not work in a vacuum.

  • Ability to manage multiple vendors concurrently, including budget and invoicing

  • 5+ years experience in games/mobile marketing, Management experience.

  • 3+ years in a Lead or Outsource Manager position

As an Outsource Artist you will ensure art assets from external vendors consistently meet Episode's visual quality, style, technical specifications and deadlines. With your excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to maintain partnerships with external vendors, and work as a professional 2D production artist. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary internal teams and external vendors to manage priorities, maintain pace and quality and bring clarity to the production process. What You'll Do: * Own art asset review process with vendors, giving clear daily feedback on art assets they are responsible for. * Follow outsource processes, and give feedback to improve outsourcing process efficiency. * Collaborate with the internal art team to communicate the aesthetic style, template use and processes to external vendors * Asset management: make sure assets are saved, uploaded, tested, named and tagged correctly * Maintain relationships and communication between Pocket Gems and external vendors * Collaborate with Art Director to understand and communicate the visual goals * Responsible for improving the art production pipeline between internal and external productions * Balance deadlines and resources with style and quality requirements * Identify potential problems in the art pipeline and work with the Episode leads to prevent them What You Bring to Art Team: * At least 3 years of game development experience * Proven art skills in game development * Outsourcing reviewing and communication experience * Asset management experience required * Experience with an avatar based art production pipeline a plus. * Awareness of fashion, both classic looks and trends * Good grasp of art fundamentals: anatomy, color, lighting, perspective, environments. * Ability to design and render a diverse range of characters and outfits * Ability to render a broad variety of hair styles, updos and textures * Shipped a minimum of 2 exceptional games or interactive media titles * Previous experience managing external vendors * Please have a Portfolio available for review Pocket Gems is an equal opportunity employer.
