We are in constant communication with our clients to review and update procedures and practices that meet or exceed government recommendations.CURRENT OPENINGS IN THE GRAND RAPIDS AREA:All positions listed below are for unarmed security officers.Grand Rapids Art Museum 14.80/hr Grand Rapids, MIMust be available for all shifts listed.PT 2nd Shift Thur 4:30pm-9:30pmPT 2nd Shift Fri-Sat 8:00am-4:30pmPT 3rd Shift Weekends Midnight- 8:00amSUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like: * Reliability- Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform. * Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules. * Following Company and Client Policies- Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift. * Use of De-escalation Techniques- Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.QUALIFICATIONS: Some qualifications will vary from site to site, but all sites will have these minimum requirements: * Must be at least 18 years of age or older. * Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent. * Must be of good moral character and have the ability to pass a criminal background check, with no felony convictions, and no misdemeanor convictions for criminal sexual conduct or related offenses, theft, assault, illegal substances, multiple alcohol related offenses, or crimes of moral turpitude, is required. * Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and annually thereafter. * Must present a friendly, positive, professional image, adhering to our Appearance and Grooming policy. * Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. * Must be able to read and write in the English language and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions and reports. * Must have reliable transportationPhysical Requirements:*
  • Must be physically and mentally sound * Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls * Must be able to reach with hands and arms, and to hold objects * Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for 8-12 hour shifts, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs * Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations * Must be able to work in or outdoors during all seasons * Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 poundsWHAT TO EXPECT (Next steps may vary depending on the position you are applying for)* Phone Interview- Review of our basic qualifications as well as your work history and future goals. * Virtual Interview- Interview with a Recruiter or Manager via video software. * On-site Interview/Shadow- Get the opportunity to see the site location and understand what the role entails.
