Art Instructor (Part-Time)

The job of Art Teacher was established for the purpose of providing a variety of media for all assigned students regardless of their ages and needs. This position will require the teacher to plan and implement a variety of media that is age appropriate for a range of grades and adapt the art activities to meet the needs of a variety of students. The teacher will need to plan and prepare effective instruction as well as manage a classroom/learning environment.Minimum Requirements: * Valid PA teaching certificates in Art Education;* Special Education certification preferred;* Experience working with students with special needs preferred;* ABility to work effectively and regularly with a computer and computer programs;* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;* Possess excellent interpersonal and team building skills;* Possess strong organizational skills;* Ability to function independently;* Flexible and reliable.Please note that prior to being offered a position with DCIU all clearances must be on file.
