As an Art Instructor, you play a critical role in facilitating and planning various lessons per term to children 7-12 years of age using different art mediums. You will engage young learners and help nurture their leaning experiences while having fun. The Art Instructor reports to the Youth & Family Director. This is a part-time role based out of the Dripping Springs YMCA.
Pay Rate: $12.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
What are the details?
Supervising children between the ages of 7 to 12 years old.
Maintaining and cleaning the classroom and programming spaces.
Creating and teaching lessons per term
Provide safe and positive standards.
Complete other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the Purpose:
Education and Experience: You have experience teaching art classes to youth. You are a minimum of 16 years of age. You are able to work with children of various ages in a group setting. You have reliable transportation to attend work.
Teamwork: You are a team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude and you are able to work well with others.
Organized and Productive: You are organized, able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments.
Strong Communicator: You listen for understanding and meaning. You speak and write effectively.
Availability: We are looking for applicants that have availability to work Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 4 pm-6:30 pm. One day per week.
