Inver Hills Community College invites applicants to teach Drawing and Painting courses in the Art AFA program as part of a sabbatical replacement. Specific need is for faculty who are able to teach Drawing (level 1 and level 2) and Painting (level 1 and level 2). While this need is for Spring 2025, Inver Hills has many part time teaching opportunities for faculty to teach Drawing courses. The anticipated start date for this position is January 13, 2025. The ideal candidate would teach up to .85 FTE for spring semester. Interested candidates should submit a portfolio with examples of their students' and their own work.
Required Qualifications
Education Requirement
Master's degree with a major in fine arts or
Master's degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in art.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in, and an ongoing commitment to, working effectively with and providing education related to marginalized communities, including Black, Indigenous, People of Color, underrepresented religious groups; new immigrant populations; people with disabilities and disabled communities; women; people with LGBTQIA+ identities and expressions; and first-generation students from economically oppressed backgrounds.
Experience teaching PSEO and non-traditional students

Salary: Dependent on credit load, salary is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2023-2025 MSCF Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.
Depending on credit load, the State of Minnesota offers:
