Position- Art Director- Design Team Lead

The Art Director is responsible for development and execution of all creative deliverables. This management role will manage a team of various creative functions including-but not limited to-design and video, and is responsible for upholding brand standards, quality assurance, and traffic management. The Art Director is responsible for developing original concepts, executing design deliverables, assigning and overseeing multiple projects, guiding and inspiring a team. Successful candidates must have direct experience in people management, creative conception, execution, design, and in-person client presentations. This player/coach role is responsible for delivering creative solutions for our clients and improving JLL's competitive advantage. As part of our Marketing & Brokerage Support organization, this leadership role will report into the National Director, Marketing & Communications, and will work closely with other Managers and stakeholders on the team to establish, evolve, and uphold strong brand and creative execution.  The ideal candidate possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to build and implement a new way of thinking and working within a growing organization.

This leadership role requires strong communication skills, proven management success, and a pragmatic and solution-oriented work style and creative direction, as well as advanced time and project management skills. The Art Director is the primary point of contact for stakeholders and places these relationships at the center of their creative solutions. This individual possesses the ability to balance the demands of the business, the brand, and develop the best creative solutions while leveraging a team to complete the best work possible.

What this job involves

• Oversee creative team, project management and delivery of hundreds of creative assets for campaigns and pitches per year.

• Develop/cascade communications to assure all internal stakeholders and creative teams are armed with information that creates transparency around processes and responsibilities

• Build and grow the design team to meet current and future needs, as well as provide people leadership and team development.

• Empowers team members to take responsibility for their jobs and goals, delegates responsibility, provides regular feedback and monitors accountability.

• Conceptualize, art direct and design across all mediums including digital, print, motion graphics, environmental and events

• Graphically convey the company's expertise and differentiators in a professional and compelling fashion.

• Produce graphic elements to create assets for print and digital across JLL branded projects, property marketing campaigns and new business presentations.

• Develop custom design and templates for national brand activation, property marketing and sales enablement projects. Produce templates with master style guides to create efficiencies.

• Responsible for national workflow, traffic management and resources nationally.

• Collaborate with other marketing & brokerage support leadership to maintain consistent workflow, processes and ongoing operational needs.

• Build a team community that promotes the sharing of ideas and assets to save time and improve quality.

• Takes on full ownership of projects, managing through completion, including managing budgets, ensuring quality and timely services and providing ongoing communication to appropriate team members and leadership.

• Responsible for implementing national processes and operations.

• Takes on full responsibility for creative teams and serves as the point of contact for workflow and people management.

• Ensures a high degree of accuracy and consistency in all design and creative output.

• Manages internal data base to maintain a clean, national repository to easy share workload.

• Monitors regional workflow with internal project management technology.

• Analyzes metrics to identify opportunities for optimization.

• Ensure that JLL branded creative is always displayed consistently and in-line with global brand guidelines to create equity and value in our brand.

• Bachelor's degree, Bachelor's degree in Art preferred.

• 6 years in design related field.

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint is required. Strong attention to detail, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Knowledge of web design and video editing.

• Ideal candidate will have a strong desire to mentor and grow junior design professionals.

• Real estate experience a plus.

• Must be a self-starter, but also a team player, with the ability to multi-task and excel in a fast paced and customer service-oriented environment.

• Able to work in a high volume and deadline driven environment.

• Ability to interface with high ranking executives in sales process

• Ability to confidently present your ideas in person, or via screen sharing with collaborators.
