Armory Support Specialist II

Location: Quantico, VA

Clearance: Secret

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs specialized duties to support armory operations and ammunition technical support functions to facilitate organizational objectives and daily operations. Work is performed with a high degree of independence and is supervised by the Government on-site lead.

Individual is knowledgeable of Small Arm Weapons and Ordnance and able to apply technical and administrative functions to the required Arms and Ammunition Program. The Armory Support Specialist is knowledgeable and can apply physical security and accountability measures to ensure 100 percent accountability of assets. Able to assemble, disassemble and clean various types of weapon systems to ensure excellent working order.

Demonstrates knowledge of ammunition handling procedures to include the receipt, storage, packing issue and transfer of ammunition. Demonstrates ability to utilize relevant information systems in support of the Arms and Ammunition Program and adhere to and enforce all fire and safety regulations. Individual will be screened to meet all applicable regulations for those dealing with Arms, Ammunition & Explosive programs.

Possesses the applicable security clearance, material handling equipment and motor vehicle licenses for the position. Must meet the requirements of the National Agency Check (NAC).

Required:

Certification in maintenance of government small arms and Explosive Safety Qualification/Certification (gov't will train on select weapons and related qualifications)

Level of Experience and Education and Degree:

1-7 years of experience with an Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
