Role Summary:

ARMO Quality Technician - Drilling Services Position for the Permian operations has become available. Start your career with Baker Hughes a GE company, a leader in the Oilfield Services industry.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience in directly supporting AMO, Manufacturing or Reliability Engineering.

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, presentation and writing skills.

  • Knowledge of specific products, AMO processes and tools to support the AMO organization.

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment

  • Ability to identify and communicate technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques

  • Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or Associates degree

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices

  • Proficient in the use of multi-meters, mego-hm meters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments

  • Proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.

  • High School diploma or GED with a minimum 2 years relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive).

  • Basic computer skills

Desired Characteristics:

  • Associate or Technical Degree/Diploma/Certificate

  • Experience utilizing SAP

  • Versed in fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices.

  • Ability to operate crane/hoist and pallet jack

  • Knowledge of power and pneumatic tools and their uses (examples: drill, grinder, polisher, sander, screwdriver, wrenches and sockets)

  • Knowledge of workshop equipment and their uses (examples: air compressor, cleaning equipment, grease gun, hoist, jack, lifting equipment, measuring equipment, diagnostic equipment)

  • Knowledge of measuring equipment and their uses (examples: tapes, dial test indicator, micrometer, torque wrenches, vernier calipers)

  • Proficient in reading/interpreting assembly blueprints and following written and verbal work instructions

  • Forklift experience

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • Candidates must be available for working overtime, weekends and holidays, as needed.

Role Summary: Baker Hughes, a GE company has an immediate opening for an Assembly, Maintenance & Overhaul Equipment Technician Midland, TX for Artificial Lift. Essential Responsibilities: * Ability to read drawing. * Maintain shop equipment. * Work to pre-defined procedures in line with established work practices * The work is performed using common hand tool * Have the ability to read scales to ensure correct measurements * Input information into workspace to ensure traceability * May perform administrative and inventory work * Basic computer skills * Work within BHGE Health and Safety rules and guidelines * This is a 2nd shift position: Monday – Friday starting at 4:00 pm – 1:00am, and flexible with working overtime as needed Qualifications/Requirements: * High School Diploma/GED required * Minimum two years of related experience in a coating shop for ALS * Working knowledge of Crane and common hand tools. * Strong housekeeping ability in order to maintain cleanliness of shop. * Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required * Good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills required * Basic skills in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes required * Will be required to remain on call for after hours or weekend work * Ability to work efficiently in teams required * Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous manner required * Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday – Friday starting at 4:00 pm – 1:00am, and flexible with working overtime as needed * Ability to work an "on call" rotating weekend schedule as needed Desired Characteristics: * Any experience in oil field equipment preparation preferred * Knowledge of blasting and coating machines. * Experience with ALS tools Locations: Midland, TX Baker Hughes, a GE company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
