What You Will Do

As an Associate with Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.


  • Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.

  • Investigates, documents and manages security incidents and hazards.

  • Maintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.

  • Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.

What You Will Need


  • Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Preferred Credential(s):

  • Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

  • Security Professional credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety.


  • Diploma

  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • None required.

VIEW JOBS 3/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-17T00:00 GENERAL STATEMENT: Under the general direction of the IT Director, performs a variety of technical duties in the analysis, design, testing, installation and maintenance of IT systems, including third-party applications, in a networked environment; and installs, operates and maintains computer equipment as required. Provides training and technical assistance to all City desktop end users. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform a full range of system administration functions in order to control systems and attain maximum utilization and efficiency. * Support and manage an enterprise server environment (Microsoft Windows, remote access and password management, enterprise tape backups). * Monitor and help maintain the server infrastructure at City of Kyle offices. * Provide support for all web, application, mail, and database servers located at various City facilities. * Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation on PC's, servers, LAN's, or related system components in order to maintain system availability. * Provide full user support for the City of Kyle's standard application software in order to meet staff needs. * Research, recommend, install, and test hardware, software, and network configurations for PC's and/or servers in order to provide an information system which effectively meets the City of Kyle's needs. * Interface and support IT Support members, on a daily basis, in terms of system configuration and/or management challenges. * Assist in running AV for official city meetings, as requested; provides support to all City department programs and/or activities as needed. * Attends staff and committee meetings, participating as warranted. * Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: * Associates Degree from an accredited educational institution with a degree in Computer Science or directly related technical discipline. * OR five years' experience in a fast paced, technology based, and customer-oriented environment which demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot computer problems (hardware and/or software). * Previous experience working with specific software's such as Emergency Dispatch software preferred, but not required. * Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. * Must pass a FBI criminal background fingerprint check, and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for criminal justice information security standards. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical requirements of the job include the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, bend at both the waist and knee, reach with arms over the head; hear, both on the telephone and in person, using regular conversational tones, and talk; vision requires the ability to focus and read printouts, computer screens, and other written material. Duties may require lifting up to 35 pounds and have the use of hands and fingers to perform essential functions of the job, i.e., typing, data entry, using a calculator, and operating other office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Work generally performed in a climate-controlled building with minimal exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Working conditions involve occasional exposure to variable and/or extreme weather conditions when responding to emergencies, working at height, and working in confined spaces.
