ARLIS is a multi-agency state and federal library that partners with the UAA/APU Consortium Library to provide library services focused on the natural and cultural resources of Alaska. This position will assist with processing, preparing, and scanning library materials for the ARLIS Collection.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must:
A) Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or
B) Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and
C) Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or is a newly enrolled student.
The library assistant must be proficient with keyboarding, data entry, quality control, Adobe, Office, and Google suites, be detail-oriented, understand written and verbal instructions, and have good organizational skills. Prior work experience with books, data entry, and/or computer systems are preferred. Prior library experience is preferred.
Position Details:
This is a Student Assistant 1 position located on UAA's main campus in Anchorage, AK. The starting hourly pay is $14.14.
