Area Supervisor

This position is responsible for ensuring the Site Technicians and Field Service Technicians in the region are performing their duties in a complete and efficient manner. The Area Manager will be responsible for providing our on-site technical customer service. This individual will be responsible for chemical tests, chemical feed and control equipment maintenance, chemical inventory management, technical recommendations, and written service reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Travels to various project sites and provides assistance in maintaining MPW Water Purification Equipment.

• Ensure all safety rules and regulations are being followed at various locations.

• Reviews the performance tracking of the equipment at the various project sites.

• Provides additional required labor at the various project sites, including hose and pipe assembly, chemical drum handling, chemical transfer, filter backwashes, filter media replacement, pump maintenance, membrane cleaning and replacement, etc.

• Assists in the calibration of monitoring equipment to test water quality to assure established standards are being met.

• Completes PC-based reports summarizing the performance of the Site Service Technicians and Field Service Technicians in his/her region.

• Troubleshoots system operational problems and makes corrections when appropriate.

• Provides an additional interface with customers to assure they are satisfied with job.

• Assists in proper housekeeping at the project sites.

• Performs other duties as directed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Has daily communication with the Site Service Technicians, Field Service Technicians, Regional Managers and other key individuals.

• Attends weekly teleconference with the Engineering Manager.

• Manages purchasing for his/her region.

• Manages P&L for his/her region.

• Process and report customer billing for each jobsite on a monthly basis.

• TOR score of < 1.0

• Travel as necessary to ensure that all jobsites are operational and able to provide contractual flow rates to our customers.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Finance or related experience.

• Valid Drivers License.

• 2 years of mechanical experience; experience with water purification preferred.

• PLC experience preferred.

• Proficient in all MS Office applications.

• CAD experience is a plus.
