Responsibilities

Build the brand

  • Share an own the number mentality, delivering the companys KPIs for the defined area
  • Optimize shelf space, merchandise product and build displays to drive sales growth
    • Note: building displays requires the ability to lift a case of product (20lbs) regularly, and to physically assemble large displays, often times over 100 cases
  • Drive consumer awareness of the brand through use of coupons, point of sale material, sampling events and in-store execution of sales promotions
  • Seek every opportunity to educate consumers in stores on what makes our brand the best in the category
  • Ensure quality, rotate product and remove damaged packages
  • Maintain organization and proper rotation of back stock
  • Execute demos and samplings as necessary

Build deep relationships with retailers

  • Build and promote positive rapport with key contacts in stores
  • Understand customer needs, identify how you, as the primary point of contact, can partner with the customer and enact plan to drive sales growth for the store and Spindrift Beverage Co.
  • Achieve mutually beneficial agreements through skilled negotiation
  • Understand the importance of building trust and credibility with accounts

Build company culture

  • Support and contribute to a culture that is consistent with the overall organization and emphasizes the values of the company
  • Partner with teammates and co-workers on various strategic initiatives throughout the year
  • Share a carry the bag mentality, willing to do whatever it takes any time and as much as necessary to grow the brand; this includes demos, display selling/building and market blitzes outside of home territory

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in the beverage or consumer packaged goods industry
  • Sales experience in various classes of trade including Grocery, Mass, Natural & Drug
  • Proven sales success track record
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growth, start-up environment
  • Self-motivation with a competitive spirit
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, including working long & flexible hours, occasional nights and weekends
  • Ability to serve as a role model for the companys culture

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift a case of product (20lbs) regularly with the ability and desire to physically assemble large displays, which can often be more than 100 cases in size
  • Must have regular access to a vehicle and be able to travel throughout your region on a regular basis, up to 25% of the time
