Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Mid-South Area Marketing Manager (AMM) in our growth-oriented engineering, environmental consulting, and construction firm. We are looking for an individual who thrives in dynamic work environments, and whose enthusiasm, creativity, organization and winning attitude contribute to the success of high performance capture teams. This person will oversee opportunity and client management, as well as local marketing operations, working closely with the Area Manager, Regional Marketing Manager, Client Service Managers (CSMs), and marketing team. This AMM position serves the Mid-South Area, which currently includes offices in Georgia and Tennessee.

Job Expectations:

The AMM leads implementation standard processes, systems, and techniques that contribute to successful and efficient sales/marketing efforts. The Mid-South Area Marketing Manager plays a key role in helping to advance key clients and pursuits, as well as contributing to action planning, strategy development, and participating in regional growth initiatives to win new work and grow new and existing services. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and a strategic thinker, offering creative and effective solutions in: focused and efficient client development; competitive, persuasive, winning proposals; efficient and effective maintenance of overall sales/marketing information; and leadership of company/ Area growth initiatives.

The AMM is responsible for leading and improving execution of the Marketing Framework, which defines the marketing processes and expectations, and the goal setting and progression of Marketers within the office(s).

  • Client Development: Works with CSMs and teams to ensure overall client development action plans are created, executed and updated.

  • Proposal / Presentation Development: Leads sales and marketing process to prioritize and position for multiple concurrent pursuits. Process includes managing and assisting directly with strategy development, writing, formatting, editing/review to ensure persuasive messages, and production. Facilitates process and provides input to Go/No Go decisions.

  • Growth Initiatives and Business Development: Works with key business leaders and marketing staff to implement company and regional growth initiatives, contributes to company marketing process improvements, event planning, and branding. Provides event planning support for priority conferences. Coordinates with marketing communications professionals on branding initiatives.

  • Sales Reporting: Assesses key metrics at office level, reporting trends and results against goals, as well as supporting business planning efforts.

  • Marketing Team Development: Provides resource balancing, goal setting, and training for marketer coordinators and support staff.

  • Training: Assesses staff sales and marketing expertise and develops needed educational sessions on sales/marketing related topics.

  • Maintenance of Marketing Information: Leads team in updating, creating and maintaining all regularly used proposal information. Uses systems and tools to share debrief information and best products.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree (Communications, English, Journalism, or Marketing preferred) with 3+ years of experience in a related role. Experience in engineering, environmental, architectural, and/or construction field is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing and presentation ability. Experience coaching others in interviews/presentations preferred.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments, often under tight deadline situations.

  • Highly skilled in persuasive writing and graphic presentation.

  • Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data

  • Proficient Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • InDesign experience preferred

Job Summary The Marketing Event Manager will be responsible for developing and executing an effective hosted event and trade show program that supports the marketing and corporate strategic plans for HealthTrust, CoreTrust, AdvantageTrust and related service lines. The Marketing Event Manager will manage and execute corporate events to include hosted conferences, tradeshows, VIP meetings and regional events. The Event Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of budgeting, scheduling, and organization of hosted conferences, tradeshows, VIP meetings and regional events. Primary responsibilities include developing project management plans, sourcing and negotiating contracts with venues and vendors, establishing and managing a detailed budget, developing registration systems and websites, managing all event logistics and conducting post event measurement/follow up to deliver an effective program of events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, thrives under pressure and has a proven track record of developing and executing effective marketing-event based programs in the healthcare field. Duties: * Work independently to establish agenda development, venue selection, executing logistics, systems development, vendor selection, revenue generation, budget control, overall project/timeline management and conducting post event measurement/follow up to deliver an effective program of events for our hosted conferences, VIP meetings and regional events. * Work with the Marketing Event Coordinator to develop an effective conference strategy while researching best practice in hosted conferences. Review final recommendations with Marketing Events Director and Marketing AVP, present final recommendations to business unit leadership for approval. * Establish budgets for each event to ensure expense and revenue targets are achieved, working closely with finance within each business unit to ensure that accurate financial information is provided for each event and appropriate chargeback allocations for each business unit are established and followed. * Negotiate contracts with best-in-class vendors that provide supportive services for special events, trade shows and logistics. Manage contracts and relationships with vendors on a daily basis. * Develop and implement all event registration and tradeshow logistics management systems as well as mobile applications. * Utilize metrics and processes to measure event and show success, providing analysis and recommendations for continual program improvement. * Proactively communicate project status, program deadlines, identifying any areas of concern or problems with associated solutions to Director of Marketing Events, business unit partners and other internal customers as needed to ensure that logistics, registration, budget and scheduling needs are met. * Maintain up-to-date healthcare industry knowledge of trends, technologies and best practices for shows and events. * Develop marketing promotion strategies to improve event effectiveness with appropriate evaluation measurements. * Develop quarterly rolling marketing plans for national and region marketing events and ensuring an accurate calendar is posted on corporate intranet and websites. * Ensure that all brand style guidelines are followed for each event. * Implement appropriate lead qualification system at events/tradeshows as appropriate. * Other duties as assigned Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree, marketing/advertising, communications, or a related discipline * 5 years of experience in large-scale event planning with job related responsibilities in marketing, trade shows and events.
