In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, lead a team of employees to implement and executecustomer projects in a safe and timely manner, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leverage productivity tools to drive completion rates, variable cost, and base cost productivity in a given area.

  • Implement and grow service business in region while determining staffing requirements, select qualified staff, handling employment relations issues, and performing quality inspections regularly.

  • Supervise on-going projects, responsible for on-time completion, review and implementation of MOP procedures.

  • Ensure the execution of availability guarantees, warranty fulfillment, and parts delivery.

  • Daily site management to include reporting weekly job progress (job status/completion reports) and identify items that potentially impact schedule and budget. Site survey, quality reporting, and enforcement of safety rules per company and customer expectation.

  • Develop and mentor personnel for a vital services leadership team.

  • Be responsible for all services metrics including training, EHS, profitability, assigned time & productivity while ensuring adherence to all rules and regulations.

  • Be responsible for Services sales support and technical support to team members including specifications and drawings, costing and pricing of service products.

  • Inform customer about performance rate and problems in order to achieve the highest availability and optimum performance rate.

  • Collect performance information and perform final walk through activities according to customer specification.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in installation (Level 1-4 related experience).

  • Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications and cabling / installation of voice and data systems experience


  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the use of computer based management and administrative tools.

  • Technical knowledge.

  • Ability to manage crews in the basic installation requirements and electronic testing

  • Work with computers and, as such, results in extensive exposure to PC and CRT screens.

  • Trade school degree.

This job will not be located in San Marcos (North San Diego). The Area Manager's territory will primarily be Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Western Pennsylvania. The Area Manager will be responsible with implementing all business plans, building professional relationships with distributors and customers. This individual will also be responsible for gaining print position at key Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and suggest sales strategies within the specified territory. They will be expected meet all sales goals and objectives, as determined by the General Manager of Sales and Marketing and Regional Sales Manager within the territory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): * Establish sales objectives and sales plan to achieve sales goals. * Build relationships and increase sales with company Reps and Distribution partners. * Generate sales leads and develop prospect targets. * Interface with engineers to gain print position with SEIP products at targeted OEM customers. * Maintain and expand customer base by making joint sales calls with Reps and Distributors. * Provide technical support to customers, distributors and Reps as needed. * Communicate and coordinate all activities with the Regional Manager. * Communicate sales activity through "Program Tracker." * Work with the company's Customer Service Department to respond to customer inquiries and/ or complaints. * Generate monthly activity reports. * Attend and contribute to monthly Sales Manager meetings. * Interact and communicate with all departments. * Support SEIP, including management, customer service and regional sales personnel by providing accurate forecast, resolving issues that arise and contributing to the success of the SEIP team. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements * Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field. * Minimum of 2 years of sales experience. * Ability to work in a fast-pace, multi-tasking environment. * An enthusiastic self-starter who is dependable with good time management skills. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Outlook. * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferences * 2+ years of sales experience in electronic wire manufacturing or distribution. * Solid understanding of complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing. Special Position Requirements * Up to 70% (3-4 days per week) travel required.
