REPORTS TO

Department Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build capability in Sandwich Making team leaders and technicians to deliver key business results and drive line/area improvements

  • Responsible for engaging the team in meeting Safety, Quality, Production and Cost targets for their line/area:

  • Develop and maintain scorecard and review with leadership each month; understand where gaps exist versus results targets and the causes

  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators are established for teams and results are communicated regularly

  • Drive high-performance work culture by engaging with team members on the floor and coaching to problem solve, make decisions, and become self-reliant

  • Leverage High-Performance Organizational principles to develop leadership skills in individuals and the teams

  • Partner with Department Manager in developing and delivering business master plan, including key technical and organizational projects

  • Address gaps in line/area performance through the implementation and effective coaching of Smucker Continuous Improvement methodologies; foster a zero-loss culture

  • Responsible for ensuring department issues are driven to root cause and eliminated

  • Understand company policies and procedures and apply consistently across your teams; administer any necessary discipline

  • Oversee training and qualification programs for designated line/area; participate in assessments, ensure effective training, and maintain consistent qualification standards

  • Translate complex information into easily understandable messages to facilitate clear communication and expectations

  • Embrace change and build team buy-in to new initiatives and improvements

  • Manage time and attendance for designated line/area (including payroll approval)

  • Provide performance based feedback to team leaders and technicians, included annual Performance Appraisals

  • Model the Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each Other

  • Assist in executing plant start up Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification (CQV) activities

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required

Experience

  • At least 2 years of manufacturing operational experience is required, food manufacturing experience is preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience leading, supervising, or managing others is required

  • Prior people management experience in a high-performance work environment is preferred

Other

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a large organization to deliver business needs

  • Ability to effectively engage on the floor

  • Decisive, proactive and strategic in decision making

  • Strong analytical trouble-shooting, problem-solving, and root cause identification skills

The candidate will provide support with developing a Database Management System (DBMS) solution for the electronic management of all Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) compliance data and information for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Areas of Support include proper management of the DBMS; training and database support to users; and making the DBMS available for presentation to a wide range of potential FAA customers. Primary Responsibilities: * Develop a DBMS user-friendly interface with the ability to handle multiple types of data (e.g. documents, spreadsheets, pictures). * Facilitate the collection, storage, analysis, reporting, and metric tracking of all EOSH compliance data and information. * Ensure the EOSH DBMS can interface, import, and incorporate information from other FAA database/systems. * Facilitate in the testing of the DBMS; data security; and administration of the DBMS with the wide range of stakeholders. * Assist with troubleshooting and debugging DBMS software issues during the creation and maintenance of the new database. * Provide updates and modifications to the DBMS based on user/customer feedback. * Develop a written DBMS User Guide and update as changes occur. * Provide training to at least two (2) FAA employees who will function as Database Administrators * Provide Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN) support. * Make the DBMS available for presentation to a wide range of FAA senior management, EOSH workforce, and support contractors. Please Note: Prefers for one to work in Denver/Longmort, CO Candidate has to live in Denver/Longmort, CO OR Telework if from the Western Service Area locations (Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington) Basic Qualifications: Server Database development, design and implementation; smart device applications; cloud drives and storage (e.g. Amazon Web Service, Google Drive, DropBox, OneDrive, etc.); and data analysis is required. Relational database experience within a multi-tiered environment is required. Microsoft SharePoint (Knowledge Sharing Network), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access experience is required.
