The Area IT (Information Technology) Manager is responsible for purchasing, installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks and supervising the IT technicians to provide hardware and software support to assigned market area.
Directs and schedules the work of assigned IT technicians
Forecasts goals and objectives for the department
Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the department
Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll record
Manages telecommunications, information technology and computer systems
Develops and implements policies and procedures for electronic data processing, data security and computer systems operations
Meets with departmental managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
Monitors and maintain technology to ensure maximum access
Troubleshoots all technology issues, provides phone and in person support to employees
Monitors security of all technology
Inputs and maintains IP addresses
Advises management of security breach and/or change in password or security status
Ensures installation of lock out programs
Identifies and prepares hardware for disposal when appropriate
Manages hardware and software inventory to ensure availability of equipment, parts and supplies to install new technology, provide technology to new and current employees and complete repairs in a timely manner
Monitors progress and completion installations and repairs by self and by others ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed
Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations including customer information security, "phishing" "hacking" and network attacks
Ensures that proper safety equipment is available and being used properly by all employees in the department
Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools
Provides training on new hardware, equipment or software to employees
Keeps abreast of new software, hardware, equipment and tools available and recommends purchases
Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean
Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
Follows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
Maintains a professional appearance for self and subordinates in accordance with company policy
Attends pertinent training on request.
Attends company meetings as required
