  • Salary range: $120,000-$130,000 per year

Job Description Summary: The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager is responsible for cultivating a sustainable culture of safety and environmental excellence through personal engagement experiences with associates at each site in their assigned region. Site visits to plant / terminal locations will include conversation with associates, completion of One AMG Scorecard items, participation in safety meetings & Turnaround (TAR) support and scheduling and conducting safety audits. In the event of an accident or injury this individual will conduct a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) followed by scheduling and conduction accident/injury review calls. This role is foundational to safety success on both the individual and corporate levels. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a partner with the Plant and Terminal Managers and their respective teams to support the Safety & Health efforts at the local level.

  • Monitor assigned region/zone with occasional support of other regions/zones as needed.

  • Collaborate with Plant and Terminal Managers to gain support and accountability for policies, practices and results for safety and compliance.

  • Implement policies, procedures and metrics in the field to improve safety and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and recommend revisions to the same when appropriate.

  • Lead safety and compliance matters particularly in assessment and review of safety performance and OSHA compliance deficiencies.

  • Schedule and conduct site visits at each location per the following schedule and execute the required One AMG Scorecard requirements.

  • Execute HSE Audits and support the IMS Auditing Process.

  • Provide Turn-Around (TAR) safety support (Prior, Active and Post)

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Safety, Science or Engineering field.

  • 3-5 Years safety professional experience in heavy manufacturing or chemical/petrochemical industry

  • Capable of traveling up to approximately 50%

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred

  • 3 years experience managing LOTO/CSE

  • 3 years experience performing Root Cause Analysis

  • Previous industrial gas experience a plus
