The position manages between 15 and 40 Technicians across all disciplines dispersed geographically within the specified operational area. This includes Multiple Network Customer oversight of maintenance activities, service deployment, disaster recovery, adherence to corporate policies and procedures, goal setting, performance management, corrective and other personnel actions.
This position is responsible for achievement of short and long-term company objectives within the specified operational area, focused on attaining or exceeding operational performance objectives, Service Delivery and financial efficiency.
This position is responsible for compliance with all local, state and federal statutes regarding workforce and workplace health and safety, financial transparency and accountability, environmental stewardship and fair labor practices.
This position must develop and lead a highly skilled technical work force and ensure the readiness of that workforce to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business. This includes compliance with training and certification requirements.
This position is responsible for developing constructive, collaborative working relationships with internal organizations and customers, including comprehension and compliance with operational, delivery processes and procedures.
This position is responsible to assure that his/her workgroups are at a constant state of readiness to respond to emergencies and disaster situations. This position is also required to be prepared to lead disaster recovery efforts with particular focus on compliance with corporate, federal and state emergency policies and procedures.
Current or previous experience in telecommunications operations management, specifically in field, transmission or switch operational disciplines, with emphasis on systems integration, maintenance, civil construction, projects, manpower scheduling and daily operations
Must possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead a diverse technical work force
College degree or related work experience totaling 14+ years post high school experience
Geographic location: within East Region (RVP will define what is reasonable)
Proven ability to exercise flexibility and resourcefulness in challenging situations
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Valid driver's license

Significant operational experience within Ericsson's RNAM Field Services organization
In-depth familiarity with field operations processes and procedures
In-depth knowledge of advanced telecommunication networks
Emergency response and restoration processes and procedures
Safety and Security processes and procedures
Project management experience
Experience in the Telecommunication Industry with deep understanding of Cellular Tower Maintenance and Construction
Ability to Coach, Guide and conduct Employee Performance Reviews
The strong social skills needed to deal effectively and collaborate with internal and external customers
The ambition for monitoring customer happiness through periodic evaluation and delivery of all customer contracted services
A high level of computer proficiency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
