Summary:
The AreaFacility Operations Specialist shall assist the 99th Readiness Division(DIV(R)) with the execution and implementation of a multi-faceted,comprehensive engineering base operations and sustainment program to ensure thebuildings and grounds are properly monitored and maintained to meet thefunctional, appearance, safety, security and environmental standards.

Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities:

  • Facilityinspections and checklists

  • Monitorphysical and functional condition of building systems

  • Identifyand report deficiencies

  • Planning,coordination and quality assurance requirements and specifications for servicecontract support of facility repairs

  • Coordinateand participate in occupational health and safety inspections

  • Prepare,review and submit energy efficiency and sustainable practices/recommendations

  • Promoteenergy conservation and awareness

  • Developquality assurance program and implement

  • Providequality assurance inspection and oversight for maintenance and repair anddocument as required

  • Monitorfacility systems

  • Assist99th DIV(R) DPW implement corrective actions, repair, and maintenance

  • Developtasks and requirements list and order of cost magnitude for Sustainment,Revitalization, and Maintenance (SRM) projects

  • Ensureproper storage, usage, and disposal and associate documentation of hazardousmaterials and hazardous waste

  • Monitoringand inspect life safety, physical security and fire preventionrequirements. Address deficiencies ifrequired.

  • Respondto all information requests

  • AttendProject Review Boards as requested

  • Documentation,Checklists, and Reports.

MinimumQualifications:
(To performthis job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essentialduty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor'sdegree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and three plus years'experience;

or

  • Aminimum of Five (5) years related experience and/or training or equivalentcombination of education and experience.

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiaritywith the Microsoft Suite.

  • Currentfavorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI), in accordance with AR380-67;

  • ValidDriver's License

VIEW JOBS 12/2/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-02T00:00 Reporting to the Downstream Manager, Devens Single Use Facility (SUF, the Bioprcess Specialist of Downstream SUF Manufacturing is responsible for advancing the mid to late stage clinical pipeline according to established work instructions and in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The Devens Single Use Facility is a brand new, state of the art facility utilizing single-use technology. Key responsibilities include: * Weighs and checks raw materials. Assembles single use disposables and components. Leads in maintaining material and component inventory levels. * Operates primary production equipment to complete process steps including buffer preparation, column packing, chromatography and filtration in a clean room environment. * Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures. Recognizes deviations from accepted practice and communicates to area management. * Champions area specific initiatives and engages in creating a safe work environment. Works on more complex manufacturing assignments per written procedures with minimal instructions. * Revises and creates process documents, i.e. SOP's and Batch Records, with no instruction and supports process related investigations. * Effectively uses in process automation systems (i.e. Delta V and Syncade Interactions, OSI/Pi Historian) and some supporting business systems (i.e. SAP. Trackwise, Maximo etc.) to maintain production records. * Reviews master batch records and exception reports associated with each manufacturing lot, in conjunction with area management and Quality representative. Requirements: * Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a B.S., in engineering, biochemistry or science related discipline is desired but not required. * A minimum of 5+ years of downstream process operations experience in a biotechnology manufacturing facility subject to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations. * Strong knowledge of regulations such as GMP's and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Previous experience with single use technology a plus * Prior evidence of successful participation on work teams where combined contribution, collaboration, and results were expected. Maintains a professional and productive relationship with area management and co- workers. * Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, is attentive and approachable.
