Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
This position is located in Phillipsburg, KS, within District Three. This position provides professional administrative management and direction of all phases of construction, maintenance, fiscal and personnel matters in a designated area. The Area Engineer represents KDOT with cities, counties, and local citizens. The person in this position will provide effective leadership to their assigned work unit. This includes such things as leading by example, providing priority outcomes, quarterly performance feedback, timely performance reviews, coaching and counseling, discipline, and providing employee opportunities for employees under his/her supervision.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Professional Engineering License recognized by the Kansas Board of Technical Professions.
Six years of experience in engineering.
Education:
Licensing & Certification:
Professional Engineering License.
Valid Driver's License at time of appointment.
