HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the Production Management team. As an Area Coach I, you will have the opportunity to provide supervisory guidance and mentorship to Zone Captains and production employees, managing production schedules within the day, assisting in properly staffing the line and managing breaks, assisting in identifying root cause issues and ensuring training occurs to support the employee certification process.
Key accountabilities include:
Manage (2-3) Zones dependent on takt time and work content complexity.
Provide hourly direction to the zones, get support team assistance, and help implement root cause analysis.
Standardized Work (audits, zone management, and daily production constraint meeting).
Assist Area Coach II or Value Stream Manager (VSM) with goal deployment to Tier 1 groups and meeting production metrics.
Coach and manage Zone Captains and Tier 1 team members through performance management and employee relation concerns.
Promote teamwork, constructive change, and communication to develop employees to their maximum potential.
Guice Zone Captains and Tier 1 team members through the continuous improvement process to resolve issues.
Work monthly with Zone Captain to manage operator certifications.
High school diploma with 3-5 years experience required.
2-3 years leadership experience within a lean manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
A practical understanding of problem solving processes.
Strong leadership/motivation skills to effectively lead different people with different abilities and character traits.
Strong technical and analytical background with effective problem solving capability.
Ability to multi-task, learn and adapt in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Lead teams to participate in decision making, problem solving and continuous improvement process. The ability to create a continuous improvement drive within the Zones.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal with a strong attention to detail.
