The Area Business Specialist, Neuroscience will:

  • Devise and implement customer specific pre and post call selling approaches that evaluate and address the practitioners' perspectives and the institutions philosophies within compliance guidelines.

  • Consistently use approved clinical studies and marketing aids to support the case for the value proposition when selling. Position and adapt the message to meet the practitioner's, institutions, and company's objectives.

  • Develop and execute on comprehensive business plan that includes but not limited to opportunities and challenges in local market, key strategies and tactics to drive the business, maximization of resources available as well partnership with key business partners and stakeholders in order to drive sales in local geography.

  • Develop a territory coverage plan that maximizes selling time with all account professionals. Adjust the schedule to increase access to key stakeholders, including coverage of all shifts. Institute strategies to increase access to all key stakeholders.

  • Maximize and customize the value proposition and influence contract implementation processes within the assigned institutions. Hold hospital stakeholders accountable to the institutional contract.

  • Develop and apply knowledge of payer access and affordability landscape in the territory regarding the company's products. Devise and institute an integrated business plan that includes clear strategies and tactics to target key accounts utilizing all available resources, while aligning the plan with the district's, region's, and company's goals. Analyze business analytics to recognize territory opportunities, strengths, and trends, and to monitor the effectiveness of the business plan. Adjust the plan to minimize the impact of competition and to maximize sales opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A valid driver's license issued in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States is required.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of industry or healthcare experience is required. Sales experience highly preferred.

  • A proven track record of success and ability to influence and impact key stakeholders in a dynamic competitive selling environment is highly preferred.

  • Prior experience working with institutions and mental health systems is preferred.

  • The ability to travel, which may include overnight / weekend travel is required.

  • Must live in the geography and/or be willing to relocate to the geography.

As a Cardiovascular (CV) Specialist you will be responsible for: * Compliantly achieving sales quota, market share, market share growth, and other business objectives specific to this market segment with its customers * Excelling in selling and customer development activities including but are not limited to daily calls with relevant customers including cardiologists and other relevant specialists and sites to establish long‐term relationships and achieving key metrics * Developing thought-leaders and leveraging the network to influence, contract implementation, protocols and utilization, and gaining access to clinicians * Demonstrating consultative selling skills and expertise in cardiovascular and metabolic therapeutic areas, healthcare landscape, clinical/therapeutic, Managed Care, and customer using approved/ compliant documentation and tools to meet customers' decision-making style and prescribing habits. * Developing and applying expertise in business analytics, marketplace, disease state, competitor, and clinical to implement a compliant and efficient business plan * Modifying strategy and resources based on local market conditions and prioritizing the highest potential opportunities to improve outcomes and aggressively addressing competitive threats and emerging opportunities * Utilizing technology to analyze sales results, track results of activities, update customer account documentation * Effectively collaborating with internal and external partners developing two‐way lines of communications, and a broad network in which to share all relevant information * Organizing and completing administrative responsibilities efficiently (including healthcare compliance, expense reports, call reporting, and other assignments by established deadlines) Qualifications Required Qualifications: * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required * At least two (2) years of direct selling experience in the healthcare industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, other) is required along with documented success in delivering sales results and achieving targets is required * A valid driver's license is required * Ability to independently prioritize and thrive within challenging and dynamic settings is required * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically, sit at a desk for up to 2 hours, climb stairs, walk quickly from place to place between business interactions, and travel by car or airplane independently is needed to perform accountabilities. Full visual acuity is required to operate computer and electronic devices, telephone systems, and drive a vehicle.
