3M is seeking a U.S. Area Business Leader to lead the Central Region in the US Subsidiary of the Medical Solutions Division. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for this role will provide leadership and direction to 6 Area Business Managers and 60 Account Representatives. The Area Business Leader determines direction, priorities, and assigns resources to meet Medical Solutions Division sales and growth objectives.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Directs and leads the sales districts and teams to meet and exceed Operating Plan

  • Direct and lead pipeline management process to deliver growth thru use of SFDC

  • Owner and manager of the account and business planning process for designated MSD US area organization.

  • Works with and leads team to deliver growth objectives including key campaigns and new product introductions.

  • Leads collaboration with Key Accounts team to deliver growth.

  • Work with National Sales Leader for account strategic planning, including establishing and managing budgets.

  • Provide input to channel marketing team regarding key elements of new or modified merchandising plans and sales projects.

  • Partner with MSD and division Channel teams to lead and communicate distribution trends to develop business initiatives in response to these trends.

  • Shares vision and demonstrates company values.

  • Negotiates and counsels on an advanced expert level, justifies controversial positions and demonstrates intermediate persuasion skills.

  • Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures and acts in a manner consistent with 3M's values and ethical standards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of combined experience in Field Sales, Sales Operations, and/or sales management in a private, public, government or military environment in the HealthCare / Medical Device market segment

  • Minimum of five (5) years managing direct reports

  • Minimum of three (3) combined years' experience working with key account management and/or distribution partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • Ten (10) or more combined years of field sales and/or sales management experience

  • Seven (7) years' experience managing direct reports.

  • Ability to communicate across all levels of organizations (internally and externally)

  • Strong analytical skills

Location: 3M Center, Maplewood, MN

Travel: Up to 70% travel is anticipated

Relocation: Is not authorized

Associate Sales Consultant (Orthopedic)– Medical Device Sales Support If you have ever wondered about the intricacies of surgical procedures or considered a career path in medical device sales, this is the role for you! Our team of ASC's support medical device sales reps in the areas of Trauma, Spine, or Sports Medicine. They are trained on the devices used in orthopedic procedures that include; ankle replacements, Ortho trauma surgeries, spine surgeries, and more. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn the ropes of the medical device industry while gaining valuable experience to develop your skillset into a medical device role. The overall responsibilities of the Associate Sales Consultant position include providing clinical and selling support in hospital as set forth below, while ensuring customer service, sales logistics, technical expertise, and product knowledge of highest order / level. Support sales objectives, cover cases, and manage billing / purchase order. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist client's sales organization in retaining and supporting further penetration with existing customers, while supporting product conversions with new customers. Assist in the attainment of established sales goals including market share objectives in prescribed territory. Apply knowledge of sales process, product portfolio and customer knowledge to improve sales outcomes * Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room through their clinical and product knowledge. Use his / her product knowledge to present, demonstrate, and ensure proper utilization of client's products. * Supporting customers by attending surgeries, assuring that the proper equipment is available and performing, including ways to optimize trays * Troubleshoot and provide other technical assistance; handle customer requests, effectively manage hospital billing, create / close purchase orders. * Share key customer, procedural and marketplace insights with other sales, clinical, marketing and strategic account teams to improve on solutions / service levels. Prepare sales reports and documents as required. * Provide Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department consultation * Maintenance, tracking and effective deployment of equipment, and assets throughout assigned area ensuring product availability. Ensure all promotional materials are maintained in a presentable manner.
