The person in this role will facilitate, support and/or contribute to one or more cross functional architecture teams comprised of members from areas such as but not limited to Digital Engineering, Security, and Physical Infrastructure. Works with the technical leads to establish integration of systems and accessibility of data supporting various interdependent business processes and functions. Focus is often on establishing and maintaining a leverageable platform to reduce business costs, improve time-to-market of products and services, improved product quality, and customer satisfaction. Strong leadership and execution for this effort is required to ensure business continuity while plotting the best course to migrate integrations and systems while ensure standard business operations are not impacted.

This role supports enabling consensus on the proper level and pace of change and integration of technologies. As with all our technical leads, this requires research into developing industry standards and technologies and company business trends, ensuring that proper questions are raised and answered by stakeholders to balance strategic integration issues with urgent business needs. Your Impact

  • Serve as an architecture and technology advisor in the enterprise for all business and IT users. Act as centralized touchstone in looking at the "big picture" and bridging across the various technology platforms to ensure continuity of direction, leveraging of company assets, best practices, and overall integration

  • Plays a critical role in key planning sessions to advise and clarify capabilities, limitations, and trade-offs of established enterprise architectures and technology in general

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of enterprise's business. Understand current and future needs of the business and align technology roadmap to deliver upon those needs

  • Collaborate with the technology leadership and architecture group to assist with defining the technology roadmap for the company

  • Ownership of ongoing communication with business technologists and consultants to build awareness of internal company/business trends, processes, activities, and locations

  • Partners with leaders both on Technology and Product Teams to steer practices that impact engineering teams by ensuring technical stories key to the implementation of the technology roadmap are being prioritized and implemented according to the long-term roadmap

  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering organization, encouraging experimentation, learning, and adaptation to drive innovation and excellence

  • Facilitate the development of key deliverables including architectural diagrams that document project plans and production systems

  • Leads enterprise-wide collaboration to foster a comprehensive understanding, develop documentation and standards, identify areas of opportunity, and chart a strategic path for continuous improvement

  • Plays a pivotal role in enterprise-level projects, ensuring that teams adhere to established guardrails that align with the company's IT standards and overall strategic direction

  • Identifies areas for improvement in engineering processes and workflows, and develops strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and productivity

Minimum Salary: $136,500.00

Maximum Salary: $186,270.00

VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Ability to analyze and learn rapidly changing technologies and apply them as part of integrated solutions to business requirements. Strong business/IT planning/development skills

  • Ability to maintain an ongoing knowledge of current business and technology environments

  • Able to continually dive deeper within the processes to develop improved coordination between supporting systems along with identifying areas for improvement in engineering processes and workflows

  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the overall technology architecture and the change process to enhance the architecture

  • Strong project management/consulting and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead or facilitate complex, mission critical projects and to develop, participate in and lead multi-disciplinary work teams

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks; Problem solving, Creative thinking, developing, and acting on ideas

  • Demonstrated negotiation and group facilitation skills; ability to move a process forward, while meeting the needs of a variety of clients

  • Highly collaborative skills and demonstrated expertise in process facilitation, influence management and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships among technical leads

  • Ability to cultivate and grow ideas and patience with engineers to drive these into practice

  • Solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to clearly present and explain technical information to mixed audiences of technical and non-technical backgrounds

  • Ability to lead and support project requirements at the same time

Additional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or equivalent.

  • At least -7-10 years of experience in Information Technology with large enterprise environment (vs. application/system) mission-critical intermediate to senior level experience in multiple information technology

  • 5-7 years of experience in the design and development using Systems Development Life Cycle and Project Management methodologies in multi-user, multi-platform, multitasking operating systems environments

  • Strong track record of translating business requirements into technology solutions, yet with a balance between conceptual and technical architecture skills

  • Experience with common system integration and services frameworks such as microservice frameworks. Expertise in infrastructure, application and network architecture is desired

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting and discussing technical information (design, technical solutions) and enterprise architecture solutions in a way that establishes rapport, and gains understanding, especially with C-level executives

  • Candidate should be process-minded with a strict regard to detail

  • Solid teamwork and an ability to communicate and persuade customers, employees, and management at all levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment. Experience working and interfacing at the C-level highly desirable

  • Experience researching current and emerging technologies, performing risk analysis of technical products and services, requirements analysis, and design alternatives analysis is desired

  • Experience in as much of the following as possible: SAP, Microsoft Exchange/Active Directory infrastructure, Information Security, WAN, LAN, Wireless, SAN, Servers, infrastructure, Business Process Modeling and Application infrastructure, Databases (Oracle, SQL Server), ECommerce and supporting technologies, Virtualization Content Management
