Architecture Senior Advisor - Evernorth

As a System Architect in the Provider Technology, this role is ideal for someone with a strong desire to innovate and provide technology strategy roadmaps, direction and guidance to both leadership and the development team. In this role you will build and provide direction on Architecture & Design for Provider Relationship Management application platforms with a Microsoft & other open-source technology. This role identifies, suggests, and implements best practices to facilitate best solutions and methods that will optimize overall processes. This role will require passionate and deep technology knowledge with hands-on development experience, as well as an ability to understand the broader enterprise vision and process so solutions align across the entire experience all while being able to communicate effectively with both technical personal and the user.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Technology roadmaps which are modern, scalable, highly available on premise platforms

• Lead technology and architecture evaluation aligning with Technology roadmap including but not limited to release pipelines and automation around testing and build and release for Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Github and Jira/Jenkins

• Provide guidance to Development teams on architecture framework, patterns, best practices, approved technologies and tools & solutions

• Ability to analyze issues, work with matrix partners to determine opportunities and implement solutions.

• Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution.

• Work within the development team to ensure best practices are applied correctly by doing code reviews and ensuring that the applications are functioning as expected.

• When required the ability to assist with the development process

• Plan, drive and deliver innovative, reusable solutions for Cigna US Commercial and Health Services

• Assess vendor products and support build vs buy decisions to ensure strategic alignment to the tools & technologies

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities in a highly matrixed environment.

• Performs and focuses on technical documentation and Test Support.

Required Experience / Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Architecting and building all facets of large scale, modular platforms

• 10+ years of experience in hands-on coding

• Hands on coding experience building platforms using C# .NET/.NET Core applications

• Hands on coding experience designing, building and setting standards for Object Oriented processing within C# .NET/.NET Core applications

• Experience with the following is desirable: C#, ASP.NET MVC, Informatica ASP.NET Web API, Java, TFS, SSIS, Oracle, SQL, TOAD or SQL Developer, SAS

• 3+ years of designing and coding in streaming technologies using Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Visual Studio

• Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies including Scaled Agile Framework SAFe

This role is WAH/Flex, which allows most work to be performed at home. WAH/Flex employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they choose to come onsite or if required to periodically come on site.
