Provide architectural service to respective Business Unit by managing production, accuracy, and timely delivery of architectural construction documents. Essential duties and responsibilities to include the following.

  • Manage/validate accuracy of construction documents / Lot Specific Drawings / brochures / cabinet shops for compliance to Company standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage completion of construction drawings and architectural tasks to meet timelines.

  • Perform site visits as required. Answering / attending to all the RFI's and questions from the site.

  • Lead the resolution of construction code/technical issues by working with community associates or regulatory officialswith assistance if needed by Architectural Production Manager.


Architecture background required. Knowledge of AutoCad preferred but not required.

Construction and HVAC knowledge preferred. Strong written and verbal skills required. Ability to multi-task required.

The main focus of the role will be maintaining inventory control and cost analysis for Retail and Wholesale new store and remodel construction owner supplied items. They will also be a part of developing and implementing 'best practice' business processes and document compliance, with a focus and passion for quality control improvement. The position has work flow, schedule, reporting, compliance, costing, and quality control responsibilities. Responsibilities: * Construction Liaison to Tumi cross functional stakeholders: Real Estate, Store Planning, Construction, Store Design, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, Finance, Accounts Payable * Construction Liaison to external Vendors: Landlords, General Contractors, Owner Supplied Item Vendors * Prepare Requests for Proposal documents for owner supplied items – millwork, floor tile, visual merchandising props, lighting * Administration of Purchase Orders and Invoicing Processing * Track Retail and Wholesale Project documentation * Track Contract Documents * Update Project Cost Worksheets * Maintain Reports – Inventory Levels, Project Cost Analysis, Capital Expenditures, Month End Reporting * Forecast annual inventory requirements * Track inventory levels, maintain inventory reporting and fixed asset reconciliation * Coordinate vendor evaluations, track and monitor quality control issues * Coordinate Retail construction project close out documents to secure Landlord tenant allowance * Coordinate and prepare Wholesale Project Merchandise Credits to close Projects * Special Projects as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance * Minimum of 3-5 Years related work experience in specialty or wholesale retail * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills * Detail oriented * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Proficient knowledge of SAP, Docuware * Proficient in Microsoft – Word, Excel, Power Point * Proficient in Retail Financial reporting and inventory analysis * Knowledge of retail Real Estate and Store Construction practices * Ability to Travel to various locations * Employ highly effective communication and interpersonal skills * Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, global retail environment Tumi, Inc.
