Position Profile:

This position will be based out of our Denver, CO location, reporting to the Architectural division. The position of Project Manager is a skilled role, in which the Project Manager provides the overall on-site administrative and technical management for a project, while ensuring the total constructive efforts are in accordance with the plans and specifications and are communicated to all parties involved.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager (Architectural Metals/Panels) include:

  • Review all aspects of a new order including estimate, pre-plan information etc.

  • Establish and continually update job schedule, site requirements, etc. with general contractor and supervisor

  • Co-ordinate the orderly flow of work to meet site schedules

  • Attend and chair weekly project status meetings

  • Negotiate extras for all applicable revisions and prepare necessary documentation (internal and external)

  • Co-ordinate issuance of all contracts or purchase orders to subs

  • Attend jobsite meetings including final inspections, where possible or necessary

  • Monitor and approve subcontract invoices

  • Approve close out of projects and ensure all invoices have been issued

  • Obtain percentage complete on each project for month end billing and reporting

  • Act as the representative for time, cost, and general overall project performance

  • Other duties as required

Skills/Qualifications of the Project Manager (Architectural Metals/Panels) include:

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a construction environment (Architectural Metals/Cladding systems)

  • Education in a construction management program or a related educational field is considered an asset

  • Proficiency in MS office package

  • Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to multi task and work in a team environment

  • Strong blueprint reading skills

As a Project Coordinator, you will perform work requiring independent judgement in evaluation, selection, and adaption/modification of project documentation and manuals. You would work with a Project Manager and Project Designer in regards to the overall completion of a project carrying out the design intent using sound knowledge of architectural practices. Beck is one of the most advanced users of 3D modeling tools in the design process, so you should be comfortable using Sketchup, Revit, Photoshop and more. The job involves the following responsibilities: * Actively participate and document meetings with owners * Assist in the Construction Administration phase and able to review submittals, generate punch lists, and answer RFIs * Assist with development of conceptual design and programming * Independently solve problems encountered * Lead and direct specific aspects of the project including consultant coordination * Responsibly coordinate assigned tasks with other coordinators and team members * Understand and apply zoning/building codes/accessibility requirements with a fundamental working knowledge of construction types, building heights & areas, and fire & smoke protection requirements * Understand construction core skills at an intermediate level * Understand the Architecture practice statutes in the project's jurisdiction * Oversee and direct to work of more junior team members Who we think will be a great fit A reliable Project Coordinator will have an understanding of design, production and implementation aspects of Architecture, a passion to get things done, and possess uncompromising authenticity and integrity. You also meet the following requirements: * 4-8 years of relevant experience * Begin licensure testing- Preferred Recommended training includes: Core Skills, Revit, IDP, Public Speaking, LEED Green Associate Certification Please provide portfolio with application.
