Job Summary

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to perform Facilities Management duties relating to planning for the use of space, office equipment, and furniture. This position will manage facilities' requests, receive, store, and distribute supplies, materials, and equipment for the Minnesota Department of Health.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires at least 2 years of Auto Drafting CAD Software experience.

  • Experience drafting floor plans using AutoCad Software

  • Experience drafting/interpreting floor plans to scale

  • Experience in researching and evaluating new products for use in drawings and preparation of project plans

  • Experience in preparing, communicating, and presenting concept drawings to various audiences

  • Experience taking field measurements and conducting field inspections

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of systems furniture

  • Knowledge of established materials handling procedures

  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and their use in a computerized system

  • Experience in using spreadsheets, word processing, and other related computer equipment sufficient to perform required work

  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and regulations

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision

  • Ability to establish nurturing and effective working relationships with internal and external clients

  • Communication skills, coordination, and persistence to negotiate solutions and resolve potential problems and conflict

  • Ability to collaborate with and ensure cooperation from staff and external resources

  • High degree of self-motivation

Physical Requirements

  • Experience utilizing safe lifting procedures (of up to 70 lbs.) and safety precautions in the movement and storage of materials

This position requires successful completion of a background check
