The Architect -Revit Designer assists in architectural projects by performing the following duties to support Walt Disney, Universal Sudios and Knotsberry Farm projects in our Pasadena Office.



  • Performs assignments designed to continue to develop professional architectural work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related architectural tasks. Assignments will require moderate independent judgement and application of a routine, non-complex nature, under the supervision of a professional Architect. Assignments shall have clear and specified objectives with limited variables.

  • Performs design and calculation tasks based on standard architectural techniques and procedures. Applies standard practices, architectural fundamentals, and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, and follows design through a series of related detailed steps or processes.

  • Performs design of routine non-complex projects and portions of routine complex projects with limited responsibility under direction of Project Architect, or other responsible staff member.

  • Prepares reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and permits for projects, under the direction of Project Architect or other responsible staff member.

  • Performs computer aided design drafting to produce designs into routine final drawings.

  • Research discipline-related code issues and present interpretation.

  • Visits construction site to review, monitor, and report progress and perform other construction administration duties per the contract documents.

  • Uses company and discipline department computer assisted drafting and design software and equipment to prepare architectural reports and design documents. Must be proficient in the use of personal computers.

  • Instructs draftspersons and architectural designers to produce designs into working drawings

  • Perform checking of one's own work and work prepared by drafters and architectural designers.

  • Provide coordination of all applicable project discipline's drawings and specifications.

  • Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

  • Promote communications, cooperation and quality among staff.

Must be proficient in the use of:

  • Microsoft Windows, Excel, Project, and Word

  • AutoCAD, Revit

  • Miscellaneous department product/system selection and sizing software.

  • Knowledge of the latest computer software for architectural renderings and building energy analysis.

  • Basic knowledge of sustainable/green strategies

  • Responsible for job specific standards, practices and quality as defined in BRPH Systems Manuals.



Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited four-year college or university, and minimum of two years' experience in architecture.

Must be a U.S Citizen

Parsons Federal provides a broad array of engineering design services to its clients. Your area of specialty will be in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines with emphasis in Fire Protection (FP) design. Duties & Responsibilities: * Performs various Revit MEP and FP modeling design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories in the Mechanical and Fire Protection disciplines. Works under the guidance of senior engineers and/or technical associates. * Prepares engineering drawings, computations, cost estimates and project plans to assure compliance with contract requirements. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position, as may be appropriate. * Ensures compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications. * May assist in training lower-level CAD Designer/Drafters on Revit MEP applications. * Some travel may be needed. Preferred Experience/Qualifications: * Minimum 5+ years of hands on MEP modeling experience with minimum 3+ years using Revit MEP software required. * Basic design knowledge in Mechanical, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field is required. * AA degree (or higher) or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred. * BIM software experience is preferred. * Requirements include PC literacy, proficiency in utilizing CAD and other computer software used to complete design assignments.
