Job Title: Architect (multiple positions)

Job Duties: Participate as a key member of an agile team to collaborate with the business, understand the business needs and impacts.

Recommend effective solutions. Engage in business analysis, information acquisition analysis and design, data access analysis and design, archive and recovery strategy and security. Leads in the process of setting future technical strategies and actively adjusts strategic direction for products in reaction to business needs or industry trends.

Champion the installation and implementation of new technologies through their initiation phase providing a strategy for implementation and working to ensure a successful maintenance hand-off.  Provides overall technical leadership to multiple product teams. Responsible for the design of the technology solutions based on project requirements and reference architectures and design patterns.

Applies reference architectures and patterns to the architecture and design of technology solutions and services. Actively participates in the review and governance of architecture quality. Audits project status to ensure technical and process excellence.

Acts as a key resource to Cambia IT and to other functional groups on technical matters. Receives general feedback from management, customers, or other external sources and translates that feedback into an overall technical direction. Mentor developers in the definition of technology implementation strategies and provide assistance where needed in transitioning the technology to the delivery organization.

Takes responsibility for updating own skills and technical growth. Teams with management team to set overall technical and product strategies, oversees product development process and integrate overall business direction. Facilitates the adaptation of architecture in response to changes within the company or industry.

Identifies and interprets industry and technical trends to guide and set Cambia's overall technical direction in specific domains. Champions strategies in anticipation of new market opportunities. Influences overall design strategy and oversees execution of that strategy.

Actively leads and participates in the review and governance of architecture quality. Assists in the development of architecture governance practices. Partner with technical program managers to help build value stream release priorities.

Mentors other architects and developers in the definition of technology implementation strategies and provide assistance where needed in transitioning the technology to the delivery organization. Also mentors new architects on the use of EA Modeling tools. Conduct presentations at customer, industry and/or media events.

Must be available for on-call work and after-hours staffing. Telecommuting from anywhere within the U.S. allowed.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or the foreign degree equivalent including 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate information technology experience. This must include the following:

  • 5 years of experience evaluating business requirements and designing complete systems solutions in complex environments;
  • 5 years designing software solutions using Facets that align business strategies and roadmaps;
  • 5 years of Facets software experience mentoring and collaborating with development staff on how to best implement new solutions using Facets;
  • 5 years using Facets software development skills to design and develop technologies that will solve complex business problems;
  • 2 years of technical leadership and architecture experience; and
  • 2 years of experience advising business and IT leaders on how to best solve tough business and technical problems.

Experience may be gained concurrently.

Position full time, 40 hours per week, with Cambia Health Solutions located in Portland, Oregon. Work from anywhere within the U.S. allowed.

The current full salary range for this role is $113,818 - $250,000 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location.

Base pay is just part of the compensation package at Cambia that is supplemented with an exceptional 401(k) match, bonus opportunity and other benefits.
