MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from an
architectural education program accredited by the National Architectural
Accreditation Board (N.A.A.B.) from a college or university accredited
by an organization recognized by the the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education
(USDE).
Six years full-time, wage-earning architecture or architectural
engineering experience in a facilities management environment.
or
Master's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from an
architectural education program accredited by the National Architectural
Board (N.A.A.B.) from a college or university accredited by an organization
recognized by the CHEA or the USDE.
Five years full-time, wage-earning architecture or architectural
engineering experience in a facilities management environment.
2.Currently registered as an Architect by the Texas Board of
Architectural Examiners or, if currently or previously registered
as an Architect in another state, must obtain Texas Board or
Architectural Examiners Architect registration wihtin one year
from date of employment.
Must maintain valid license(s) for continued employment in position.
Selected applicants without required license(s) must sign a
Credential Contingency Agreement that will remain in effect only
until the initially established expiration date. Failure to
comply with this contingency statement will result in separation
from employment. Credential Contingency Agreements will not be
extended or renewed as a result of an employee's separation from
employment or acceptance of another position.
Employees in these positions are eligible to receive up to
two retention increases. Employees will receive an increase
to $93,510.84 following successful completion of one year as
an Architect III. Eligibility for the second increase to $96,690.96
will occur upon successful completion of two years as an
Architect III.
The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) may be
reduced by 2.5%.
The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally
applicable to this position. Applicants must fully complete the
