The Architect, Enterprise Architecture provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of enterprise architecture solutions to effectively support the business strategy with a focus on developed and purchased systems and the integrations/interactions between them.
The Architect, Enterprise Architecture works with teams to provide architectural, systems, and business guidance, while also helping teams apply GlobalTranz architectural principles via the creation of frameworks and templates. Additionally, they must create architectural documentation using GlobalTranz tools (i.e. Confluence) and contribute to architectural direction and POCs to validate architectural concepts.

Solutions and architecture deliverables: define, maintain, and manage enterprise architecture models, frameworks, and artifacts
Relationship management: Develop and manage expectations for communication channels and stakeholder groups. Initiate communications between key contributors and stakeholders, acting as a point of contact for cross-functional solution architecture. Facilitate open communication and discussion between stakeholders
Data analysis: understand corporate data requirements and apply data analysis, data modeling and quality assurance techniques to establish, modify or maintain test driven integration design and their associated components in and across business areas/applications of expertise.
Scoping/effort estimates: contribute to solution scoping and effort sizing with cross-functional teams
Work with both functional and technical project personnel to design integration solutions between various applications
Architect scalable solutions, create best practices and standards, collaborate with business and engineering to align efforts with architectural direction
Provide production support as and when needed
Translating business requirements into systems impact
Determine scope/impact of requests and produce architectural recommendations
Proven mentorship in technology direction and application
Assist in the design of technology curriculum and content
Experience in development processes including code and architecture reviews
Experience in designing POCs with measurable, reportable results
Lead group meetings to learn and understand business needs and the application of GlobalTranz technology/products to those needs
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or relevant job experience
12-15 years of information systems technology required
Experience with ERP, CRM, Transportation (i.e. TMS), or Financial systems required
Experience with custom systems and integrations required
5+ years relevant experience preferred
TOGAF experience is a plus
Capacity to be a consultative partner via either past consultative experience or corporate positions involving multiple business stakeholders
Ability to maintain a high proficiency level with system architectures and database system models
Exceptional customer service orientation and ability to architect nimble and responsive solutions
Recommend changes in process, policies, and standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles
Ability to work on multiple, complex projects as a leader and a subject matter expert within both purchased and custom systems
Travel is required but is minimal (approximately 15% or less throughout the year).
