IT Strategist/Architecture role responsible for establishing technology portfolio, vision, strategy and roadmap. Provide the vision, evolution and communication of the technical architecture, creating the strategy and portfolio-level technical roadmaps for technology.

Align architecture with business strategy. The IT strategist align technology to business objectives. Sets the IT vision and goals based on business and investment roadmaps.

They need to have excellent analytical, communication, and technical skills to deliver the best value from IT initiatives. Ability to build strong visuals for executive communications.

The candidate would be working to help stand up the IS organization; able to understand how to work with the business at South Bow; working within what the IS strategy plan is; heavy on the leadership; someone visual and who is in the IT space and will help bring it to life; understands what is required for targets, what direction to provide business; business engagement; able to see and understand the strategy and what needs to be done and is confident enough to articulate to an IT business group.

Liaises with Business Partners to ensure solutions meet current and strategic needs Works with Business Primes, Enterprise Architecture, other Architects, etc. to determine SLA (service level agreements) and ensure they are met Leads and collaborates with the Project Teams, Business Systems Analysts, other Architects, etc. to create, drive and communicate the overall architectural vision, working towards project delivery Assists Enterprise Architecture on the evaluation of vendor applications Develops estimates for new technology applications and maintenance of existing applications Works across several technology components or development efforts to ensure correctness, consistency, continuity, and efficiency Ensures solutions are scalable, maintainable for complex business and functional applications May interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, departments or clients
