The Department of Philosophy, Anthropology, and Religion at Central Michigan University invites applications for a one-year full-time Lecturer I position in archaeology to begin August 2024.

The successful candidate will teach four sections per semester. The four sections will be a combination of ANT 174: Inequality in the Ancient World and ANT 175: Archaeology of the Americas. Course sections may be writing-intensive, non-writing intensive, or a combination of the two. Some of the sections may be offered in an online 8-week format; in-person sections will be taught on our campus in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.

Required Qualifications

• MA in Anthropology (must be completed no later than August 2024).

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

About the Department

Anthropology is one of three programs in the Department of Philosophy, Anthropology, and Religion. The Anthropology program has over 50 majors and minors.
