The AR Specialist is responsible for the credit collection process and other routine office duties. This position provides administrative support and reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Job Duties:
Process all requests for credit using appropriate company guidelines.
Obtain management approval on all new credit accounts.
Make contact and take appropriate action for collection of all accounts receivable accounts.
Customer & Job set up: Obtain necessary job information to ensure proper filing of Pre-liens.
Pre-liens: Timely preparation and filing for qualifying jobs.
Customer service: Invoice copy requests, Insurance Cert requests, Lien releases, etc.
Customer billing: Weekly email, faxing, and monthly statements.
Payment Posting: AR & cash sales.
Daily bank deposits: Electronic processing and filing.
Maintain files and collections paperwork for audit and legal purposes.
Enforce all aspects of company credit policy while handling various duties and responsibilities of the position.
Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Cross-train as required in other areas.
Complies with Companys attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
High school or GED
Minimum experience required1-2 years office administration including accounting related duties. Some experience in credit collections preferred.
Special skills/knowledge required
Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to pursue collections as needed to meet goals of company. Working knowledge of collections and lien holder laws.
OtherComputer literate in applicable software and hardware applications.
Physical demands include lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on a random basis, standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time, and bending or stooping.
