Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable team, serving as the point of escalation for the business

  • Oversee customer invoicing and collection of funds owed to the organization to ensure optimal organizational cash flow

  • Work closely with Post Holdings Credit Analyst to maintain appropriate credit exposure with customers.

  • Maintain Carrier claims process with third party logistics teams.

  • Coordinate, assign, and review the work of accounts receivable team, ensuring the accuracy of processing financial transactions

  • Oversee the resolution of customer deductions ensuring proper procedure is followed by confirming necessary approval is obtained and deductions are accurately accounted for

  • Assist Finance in maintaining customer sales deduction accruals

  • Provide daily, weekly and ad-hoc financial reporting to key members of the organization

  • Maintain an efficient process to ensure timely collection of past due accounts

  • Manage A/R aging reports to maintain expected aging results and metrics

  • Develop and assume ownership of the accounts receivable standard work practices

  • Perform the monthly financial closing process, including the reconciliation and analysis of accounts as necessary

  • Act as company system expert on proper policy and procedures for invoicing, accounts receivable, deduction management and collections

  • Own account receivables audit requirements as outlined in Sarbanes-Oxley Narrative

  • Execute special projects as necessary at the direction of departmental head

  • Work with corporate, business and functional teams to meet company initiatives and goals

  • Review training processes to identify efficiencies and drive improvement

Work Environment:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 4-year degree in Accounting with advanced degree or professional accounting designation preferred.


  • 5+ years of accounting experience; accounts receivable, deductions, and collections preferred

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions

  • Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and general accounting concepts

  • Strong Excel skills, especially financial modeling and analytical techniques

  • Managerial skills and experience are a must

  • Experience in a manufacturing warehouse or facility a plus
