The A/R Client Billing Specialist assists physicians and/or medical office personnel with questions regarding their accounts. The A/R Client Billing Specialist will also respond to questions for assistance from departmental employees and Sonic Healthcare USA representatives system wide in regards to these specialized accounts.
o Identify client, verify account information and communicate with inquiring parties in regards to patients, account balance, payments and/or ordered tests.
o Responsible for re-direction of patient accounts as requested.
o Communicates and documents errors or concerns about accounts and works to resolve issues; includes account follow-up as needed.
o Responsible for ensuring complete documentation regarding patient accounts; facilitating paperwork completion and processing as needed.
o Efficiently prioritize and process incoming calls and paperwork; maintain organized files for recall as needed.
o Communicates with client offices, insurance companies, patients and departmental staff regarding account questions/issues.
o Maintain knowledge of department policies, insurance protocols and national laboratory operational changes.
o Must have the ability to stay focused and perform job duties courteously, efficiently and accurately.
o Employee must comply with Sonic Healthcare USA compliance policy, practices, and procedures.
o Duties include but are not limited to the above mentioned responsibilities.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
o Knowledge of computer technology and terminology
o Ability to type and demonstrate10 key proficiency
o Perform duties in a timely and accurate manner
o Maintain confidentiality of information
o Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company, with patients and physician office staff
o Possess effective work habits and ability to build/maintain work relationships
