Job Description:

The Aquaculture Technical Sales Representative position is responsible for managing customer interactions and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Aquaculture Technical Sales Representative interacts with customers and team members to analyze customer needs and provide technical support for Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems (PAES) product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the PAES contact center sales team and customers on product related technical questions

  • Support the goal of increasing sales by improving overall technical understanding of products within the contact center in order to facilitate up-selling of additional products

  • Effectively communicate with customers directly to assist with product specifications, sizing, and application

  • Answer phones and provide technical assistance with product applications to both customers and co-workers

  • Provide price quotes for products in a timely and accurate manner that is consistent with PAES pricing objectives

  • Respond to all incoming data specifically faxes, electronic mail, conventional mail, walk in customers and other sales related documentation in a timely and accurate manner

Skills required:

  • A thorough understanding of products related to all forms of aquaculture and aquaponics, with an emphasis on recirculating aquaculture systems

  • Proven ability to manage and execute sales within the industry or related technical sales experience

Excellent organizational and communication skills are required Must have ability to work independently while handling a wide variety of projects and able to prioritize them effectively Ability to remain in control, professional, and empathetic while handling customer interactions Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Skilled at navigating through multiple applications

EDUCATION AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

An Associate's Degree in Aquaculture or preferably a four-year BA/BS Degree in Aquaculture, Biology, Chemistry, Marine Science, Fisheries Science, Oceanography or Limnology. Demonstrated proficiency in written (Microsoft Office suite) and oral skills (face-to-face, telephone & public speaking).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Able to communicate effectively in the English language.

VIEW JOBS 2/17/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-17T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Service Technician provides on-site services for customers, distributors, and sales through installation, training, repair and preventative maintenance of the business' equipment. Installations range from stand-alone systems to complex system integration with manufacturing, distribution, and processing lines including installation and integration of PLCs, encoders, sensors and software. The position promotes sales of maintenance agreements, new products, spare parts and consumables. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assists with the installation of systems including custom applications. * Repairs equipment at customer site. * Provides technical assistance, via phone and email, to help troubleshoot and repair equipment, coordinates problem resolution with product services, engineering, customer service and other personnel. * Tests and verifies electrical motors, sensors, control circuits, power circuits, and other items required to verify proper electrical wiring installation for control panels and their associated devices/motors. * Verify mechanical and pneumatic components are properly installed. * Recommends repairs, replacements and other solutions. * Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including customers, distributors and team members. * Maintains equipment inventory, tool kits, repair parts and company vehicle. * Provides service support for sales during sales calls and provides support for new products, working with product management and sales. * Submits reports and documentation and maintains necessary system information for job tracking. * Completes system information in a timely manner to ensure accurate and timely billing. * Promotes sales of maintenance agreements, new products, spare parts and consumables. * Arranges for transportation, lodging, and meals during trips. * Additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: * Associates degree and/or certification/apprenticeship in technical, mechanical, electrical technology or engineering, computer science or related field * 4+ years of previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Routine travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required – travel up to 90%. * Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications * Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning) * Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts * Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients * Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment * Ability to work with and influence peers and management * Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting * Ability to read and understand electrical drawing schematics * Valid Driver's License * Understanding of electrical principles * Understanding of motor control * Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch * Ability to work overtime as necessary The Matthews Environmental Solutions division of Matthews Memorialization is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of technologically advanced crematoria equipment, as well as cremation-related products and services.
